The Mission
The mission of Abundant Life Church is to make disciples who are connected to the body, disciplined by relationship, developed in ministry, and released in purpose.
The church consists of believers of Jesus Christ who we trust alone for salvation. The church is a visible expression of the Body of Christ assembling in love and reverence for God and His Word. We seek God's glory and advance His kingdom by calling believers to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord. We do this through worship, preaching, teaching, fellowship, nurture, discipleship, gifted ministries, pastoral care for the people of God, and faithful involvement in fulfilling the Great Commission. ALC has cultivated a family atmosphere and we emphasize helping people, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to discern their God-given purpose.
What We Believe
We believe in the Holy Spirit, and when any who receive Jesus Christ in the new birth they are recipients of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. However, there is a distinction between the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. With this power of baptism comes the privilege of speaking in tongues for the great edification of the believer. We affirm that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are distributed in the Body of Christ and that they are, in the context of a thoroughly biblical ministry under godly authority, a vital part of the church's experience in worship, evangelism, and congregational maturity.
